Another Eagle has Landed at AIS-R PDF Print E-mail

AIS-R's own Boy Scout Troop #257 is proud to announce that Simon Xhauflair, a member of the class of 2015, was recently awarded the Eagle Scout Award.  The Eagle Scout Award is the highest rank attainable in the scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America.  Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than 2 million young men, which is less than 2% of all registered scouts.  Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges and demonstrating scout spirit through the Boy Scout Oath and Law, service and leadership.  Troop #257 has been an active scouting organization in Riyadh for over 33 years and Simon is the troop's 23rd member to earn this prestigious award.

 
AIS-R National Merit Scholarship Program Winner Announced PDF Print E-mail

Hassan Ali has won a National Merit® $2500 Scholarship.  The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955.  High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test – a test which serves as an initial screen of more than 1.5 million entrants each year–and by meeting published program entry/participation requirements.  For more information on this prestigious award please go to http://www.nationalmerit.org/nmsp.php.

 
AIS-R Places 1st and a 2nd in the 2011-2012 NESA Math League PDF Print E-mail
