Registration Office

The Registration Office is open from 7:30 am till 4:00 pm daily, Saturday to Wednesday from early August till mid June.  Appointments are not required; however, it is advisable to call ahead to schedule a school tour if desired.  The Registration Office also invites inquiries by telephone, fax and e-mail.  AIS-R accepts students throughout the school year with early registration for the next academic year occurring during the month of May and two weeks before school opens in August.  The Registration Office is closed from Mid June to early August.

New Student Documentation

Registration inquiries are encouraged especially for the high school grades.  However, AIS-R does not reserve seating.  Children should be physically present in Riyadh at the time the registration process begins.  Documents are to be presented in person to the Registration Office or sent through the mail.  There is usually no problem with waiting lists and there is generally open registration at any time during the school year.

For each new student who will be attending AIS-R, parents are asked to provide the following materials to assist the Registration Office with student placement and enrollment:

  1. Application Form (see attachments below)
  2. Health Form (see attachments below)
  3. The child's passport copy
  4. The father's iqama (the mother's iqama, if she is the child's sponsor)
  5. All records from previous schools attendance to include:
  • last two years report cards (required)*
  • official school transcript (if available, required for High School)
  • school profile with explanation of grading scale (if available)
  • all standardized testing records (if any)
  • special education records (if any)
  • letters from prior teachers (if available)
  • last school's address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address
  • If the student is Muslim, please also provide passport copies for sponsor, spouse, and student including original entry visa.  Also, a company letter acknowledging sponsorship is required
  • SR 550 assessment fee is required at the time of application

Note

A child applying in the middle of the year will also be requested to submit documentation from the current school year in addition to the previous two school years.

Upon receiving the completed application form and required documentation, AIS-R will begin the admission process for the student.  Completed applications will be forwarded to the appropriate school which will arrange for testing and assignment to grade level and teacher.  The Admissions Committee will review applications of former AIS-R students to determine if the pre-admission test should be taken.  Students usually begin classes within one week of testing, if fees have been paid.
