Tuition and Fees for the 2009-2010 School YearTuition and fees are payable in advance of attendance and are assessed in accordance with the following fee structures established by the AIS-R Board of Trustees. TuitionTuition is assessed based on the semester in which a student enrolls. Tuition is refundable only for the second semester in a year for which a student has already paid the entire annual tuition but does not attend at any time during the year. Taking into consideration that tuition is assessed on a full-year basis for students entering school during the quarter, if tuition is paid for the semester only, it is not refundable. Each spring, AIS-R collects an annual seat deposit of SR 2000 per student. The deposit is applied to the following academic year's tuition and fees and is refundable according to the following schedule provided that the Registration Office is notified in writing (by fax or letter) of any non-returning student. E-mail notification is not acceptable.
The first semester tuition payment includes a capital reserve of SR 2000 per student. Please note that the second semester column does not include SR 2000 for capital reserve for new students. All new students must pay SR 2000 capital reserve fee in second semester as part of their tuition.
Assessment FeeA non-refundable assessment fee of SR 550 is assessed for all students applying for enrollment at AIS-R. This fee is payable when the application is turned in to Registration. Testing or assessment is arranged only upon receipt of this fee. Registration FeeA non-refundable registration fee of SR 7000 is assessed for all new students, except for KGI. Parents and companies may pre-pay next year's registration fee for KGI students. This fee is charged at the time of initial enrollment for KG II - Grade 12 and re-enrollment more than one year has elapsed since withdrawl of the student. English As A Second Language (ESL)A minimum level of English language proficiency may be required for enrollment. Beginning in KG II, supplementary ESL instruction is provided for an additional fee to those students requiring assistance with the English language. Pre-testing and teacher referral determines student eligibility for ESL instruction. A questionnaire is included with the registration application for parents to complete. The ESL fee is SR 3000 and is assessed on an annual basis. Students who enroll in the second semester will be billed SR 1500. This fee is refundable only for a semester in which a student does not attend school. Any attendance during a semester negates a refund. Arabic Language Program of Studies (ALPS)ALPS is an optional after-school Arabic language program (speaking, reading and writing) offered to students in grades 1 through 12. KG II ALPS classes may be offered if a minimum of 8 students enroll. The ALPS fee is SR 2000 per semester. This fee is non-refundable after the student attends one session. All "Parent Pay" and "Company Pay" accounts are considered past due if payment is not received after the commencement of the semester.Returned Check FeeAIS-R assesses a return check fee of SR 100 per occurence per family for any check that is returned to AIS-R unpaid. Methods of PaymentTuition and fees are payable in Saudi Riyals only. Funds may be drawn on a Saudi Arabian bank through a personal check, a bank draft, a debit through an ATM card, AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD, VISA or MASTERCARD. For ATM transactions, please verify your authorized daily limit with your bank.
