Music at AIS-R is an activity-based program with the goal of helping students acquire the skills and information to build a lifetime of involvement with music.

At each grade level the following concepts are introduced and explored:  rhythm, melody, harmony, tone color, form expressive qualities, and styles.  As children study these concepts, skills are developed using the voice, playing classroom instruments, music reading, listening, moving and creating. 

All students have the opportunity to perform on stage during the school year.
