The major goal of AIS-R's Information Technology curriculum is to prepare students for success in a technological society.  The K-12 department's philosophy asserts that information technologies are best used as productivity tools and support for classroom work, in every discipline and at every grade level.  When information technology is properly used, it becomes a resource for supporting student learning and enhancing student productivity.  In order to develop confident and creative users of technology we believe:

  • Students must have the opportunities to use technology to attain essential knowledge and skills in all discipline areas.
  • Students must have classroom access to technology to enhance knowledge application and problem solving strategies.
  • Students must use a wide variety of technological tools to ensure success in the future academic environment.
