Art Club

Art club provides the right space, time and guidance for students who are interested in art, but cannot attend regular art classes or for students who simply want more art (such as seniors wanting to prepare art college portfolios). The main idea of this club centers around the idea of the gift.  Projects may include t-shirts for Art Club members, the Bahrain Marathon or other events, fun and functional art work (for boys and girls), jewelry boxes, fabric painting, incense/candle holders, picture frames, on of a kind prints (used in book illustration, postcards and posters) and much more.

A goal of this club is for members to create original and functional gifts and gift-like art work and to identify school events and people who would appreciate and accept these gifts.  Works will be exhibited during HS assemblies and in Day With The Arts.

Palette

The mission of this activity is to enrich the lives of students at AIS-R by bringing color and comfort into the school through supervised interactive art activities.  This club provides another dimension to help reinforce academics, teach problem solving techniques and inspire creativity while giving kids a chance to have fun with art.

Student will work on creating murals for the "Blue Mile", sets and props for the HS fall plays, the MS Drama and the All School Spring Theater productions.  Other projects include creating artwork and props for Health Week, mosaics on outdoor benches around the campus and painting the ceiling tiles in classrooms to enhance the feel, color and warmth of the classrooms.
