National Junior Honor Society PDF Print E-mail

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) has been established at AIS-R Middle School to recognize outstanding middle level students.  More than just an honor or merit roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service. Character and Citizenship.  These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921 and 1929.  These criteria for selection form the foundation upon which AIS-R Middle School chapter and its activities are built.  NJHS members meet once per cycle during Advisory with two MS Advisers.  Service projects include "MS Goes Green" recycling program, "UN Day" service, and organizing as well as running booths at AIS-R's "Family Fun Day" annual fundraising event.
