Mission Statement
Strategic Plan PDF Print E-mail

AIS-R has committed to the concept of strategic planning in an effort to create a future that will benefit all of our students.  Strategic planning is nothing mystical; rather, it is a means to a end, a process that causes us to focus on the important and to seek new ways to meet the needs of children more effectively.  Our first plan was developed by parents, faculty, staff and community members in 1990.  At that time we identified strategies that have helped us to strengthen our curriculum and instruction, challenge our best students, hire and retain a superior staff, limit risks and disruptions to our school program, encourage the appreciation of cultural diversity, improve school communication and clarify our responsibility to the environment.  AIS-R continues to work under strategic plan for financial stability, academic excellence, and development opportunities designed to carry AIS-R forward into the 21st century.  Although it sharpens our focus and establishes new goals, it is in many respects an extension of our first plan.  The elements of this plan follow.

Statement of Mission

As a school committed to excellence, we will educate and inspire our students to be responsible, productive and ethical world citizens with the skills and passion to think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively, and learn continuously.  We will accomplish this in an American educational environment characterized by high measurable standards and clearly defined, appropriately interrelated college preparatory curriculum, implemented by a superior staff and in partnership with parents.
