Careers at AIS-R
Thank you for your interest in AIS-R! All applications for employment will be handled by the Human Resources Office and only applicants who fully complete the application form will be considered for employment.
Overseas and Local Hiring
Please note that we recruit many of our administrators and teachers from overseas, all of whom are highly qualified and experienced educators who possess valid teaching certification (US/Canadian equivalency) and well developed credentials in their respective fields of education. Typically, these overseas-hire employees are internationally recruited to work at AIS-R under the school’s sponsorship. Accordingly, they are provided with a full package of benefits as part of their employment contract. AIS-R hires overseas employees through recruitment fairs, word-of-mouth references and direct applications through the website based application process.
Similar to other schools, AIS-R has two distinct categories of employees: Overseas Recruited Employees (Overseas Hires) and Locally Recruited Employees (Local Hires). While both groups are valued members of our faculty and staff, they differ in how they join our community and the control AIS-R has on their length. Overseas hires are educators who are specifically recruited from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to work at AIS-R. Because they are relocating to the Kingdom for this purpose, they are considered sponsored employees under AIS-R’s employment sponsorship and receive overseas benefits. Local hires, on the other hand, are individuals already residing in Saudi Arabia who are recruited locally under spousal sponsorship. AIS-R only hires locally recruited teachers and staff who hold valid spousal sponsorship; the school does not provide sponsorship or equivalent benefits for local hires.
Regardless of hiring category, all teachers at AIS-R are placed on the same payscale, ensuring equity and fairness across our faculty. Placement on this scale is determined by professional qualifications rather than hiring type, and the criteria includes the possession of a Bachelor’s degree, a North American (or equivalent) teaching license, and a Master’s degree. This structure allows AIS-R to recognize and reward educational credentials and teaching expertise consistently for the same type of work, while maintaining clear distinctions in employment terms and benefits between overseas and locally recruited employees.
