Information Technology
The goal of the AIS-R technology program is to promote students’ use of technology to express their creativity, analyze mass media, conduct research, communicate ideas, solve problems, and collaborate in order to become adaptable, ethical and productive technology users. This is accomplished through project-based learning opportunities.
We believe that student learning is best accomplished through purposeful, hands-on application of skills developed in an authentic context. Core to this belief is the ability transfer technology skills and knowledge to new situations. Students in our program benefit academically across the High School curricula as they learn to collaborate with peers, adapt to changing technologies, and participate in a global community.
Student learning is measured according to a variety of standards intended to support overall student achievement in all areas of study. Students meeting these standards are better prepared to think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively and learn continuously.
