Wellness, Health and Fitness
The Wellness, Health & Fitness Department's objective is to provide students with opportunities to become confident and successful in their physical skills, explore a wide range of physical activities, discover fun and enjoyment, and work cooperatively with others in a variety of activities. It is our goal that students learn new concepts and ideas they may not have known about previously and to take this new knowledge forward. As a department, we will support the development of a positive and appropriate values-driven education. We believe true understanding in social skills include, but are not limited to, respect, cooperation, communication, teamwork and sportsmanship. In addition to these social skills, the Wellness, Health & Fitness Department places a high priority on an individual's cardiovascular and muscular fitness, which teaches students how their fitness levels can affect their overall health and quality of life. It is our ultimate goal to teach skills and model an active, healthy lifestyle so that our students leave us with the knowledge and experience to lead a healthy, active lifestyle themselves.
